During some of the rare, quieter moments around here, I managed to finish a couple of sewing projects. This baby block tutorial had been on my list for awhile, and when a family friend offered me a collection of fabric remnants, I knew they would be perfect. The most fun was deciding which pieces to put together- 90% are from her leftover pieces, and there are also a couple of Liberty of London prints as well as a couple from Fabrications, a local fabric shop.
Instead of foam blocks, I used fibre-fill, since I wasn’t sure how straight my amateur seam-stitching would turn out. I added a little twill tape (leftover from Sophie’s decorative packaging) so that they can be grabbed more easily by little hands, and they can be attached to a stroller or play gym.
I have a couple of other projects on the go, so I’ll be sure to post about them when I’m finished. What have you been working on lately?
